Hello!
Two months we have spent in a creative rush materializing our ideas into real action. We have produced web magazine based on our interpretations about multiculturalism in the movement. As the keyword movement became as a guideline in editorial, journalistic and web designers’ field, our activities were focused on finding stories that would represent motion. After the starting gun had shot, we began our planning-writing-creating race.
Journalists came up with huge pile of topics which they were interested in; editorial team was ridden by building the structure of web magazine in terms of movement; but web designers were dragged in the communication with digital world by trying to organize our sometimes very crazy ideas into realistic outlook. In the very beginning it somehow happened that our work was organized on so called spontaneous democratic principles. We were quite set on voting! J We voted for movement idea, we voted for name of our magazine, and, finally, that we (or, more precisely, THEY) voted for me…
So… as I had such a wonderful chance to experience the benefit of democracy to be elected, I’ve taken editor’s-in-chief chair. This turn-out appeared as a big challenge for me – to be aware about what is going on… Yes! Yes! It’s not that easy, especially if you have such an enthusiastic team who is coming up with so many interesting ideas.J In my editorial policy I tried to follow our habit of democracy by letting journalists to decide and choose on their own which topic they felt keener to cover. I tried to play the guidelines-giver and monitoring role. Have I succeeded? I hope so… Ask the journalists and the webmasters! JIf one agrees with the statement that TV is producers’ media and newspaper is editors’ media, then one might also agree that online magazine is journalists’ media. (What am I doing here? J) From this sentence derives the content of e-motion.
Web magazine represents different interests of young journalists in different fields. Stories are written in that much distinctive manner, as the different multicultural journalists are. I hope that stories, whether they are serious or supplemented with flavour of humor, will hook up your interest and you’ll discover a new perspectives and matters! Enjoy the participation in our movement and be on the move!
I want to thank all who were participating in this project. All of them did a great job, and I am very happy that I could get to know such an intresting people with so many crazy, dıverse and atractıve ideas!
I wish you pleasant journey in our web magazine! Cheers!
